Our annual golf tournament is a popular event - the Cavan Sportsmen and their friends. This competition provides many prizes and raises money for the construction of the St. Patrick's Day Float.

Golf Tournament Sept. 12. 2010

Sunday morning brought the real Irish weather and put the tournament in jeopardy. After many opinions of YES & NO, we decided to go ahead. Fortunately the luck of the Breffni Irish prevailed and the rain stopped.

We got underway at 11:00AM and although many thinned skinned succumbed to the soft weather we had a hearty 40 golfers showed up and played.

At the end of the good day these who shined were as follows.

OVERALL and The Tom Coyle Memorial Trophy went to

The Annual Tournament was held at the Paxon Hollow Golf Club. It was a beautiful day, with 70 golfers particapting.

The winners were 1st Low Gross, and the Tom Coyle Memorial Trophy went to Seamus Fay

2nd Low Gross, Turla Hart

3rd Low Gross, Ned McEnroe

1st Low Callaway, Pat Durnin

2nd Low Callaway, Dan Lane

3rd Low Callaway, Declan Farrelly

Longest Drive, hole #9 Pat Durnin
